FESTIVAL DE LA INDEPENDENCIA DE MEXICO

El 18 de septiembre se llevará a cabo el festival del Día de la Independencia de México en Penn’s Landing (Great Plaza), de 2:00pm -8:00pm. Las presentaciones estelares estarán a cargo de las bandas: La Prendida y El Retoño, igualmente durante este magno evento se presentarán: el mariachi de Pedro Villaseñor, el ballet folklorico Yaretzi, grupo Requinto Humilde y el tenor Alex Moreno. En el evento participarán vendedores de artesanías diversas y habrá una zona infantil para los pequeños, en tanto que los asistentes podrán disfrutar de las delicias gastronómicas de los siguientes restaurantes de la región:

Pachecorico Restaurante, Taquería Atexquita, La Ingrata, La Guadalupana, Taquería Atexcac, Los Gallos, Taquitos de Puebla, Nemi

El Cónsul de México en Filadelfia, acompañado por funcionarios de la ciudad, encabezará la ceremonia del “Grito de Independencia”, acto que dio inicio al movimiento independentista mexicano y que llevó a la edificación de la gran nación que es México. Tendremos fuegos artificiales al final del evento.

MEXICAN INDEPENDENCE DAY FESTIVAL

The Mexican Independence Day festival will be held on September 18th at the Penn’s Landing (Great Plaza), from 2:00pm – 8:00pm. The headliners of this year’s festival are the bands: La Prendida and El Retoño. The other super talented artists performing on stage are the mariachi band of Pedro Villaseñor, Yaretzi folkloric dancing group, music group Requinto Humilde and singer Alex Moreno. At this event you will also find diverse arts and crafts vendors, a kid’s zone, as well as the following delicious eateries of the region:

Pachecorico Restaurante, Taquería Atexquita, La Ingrata, La Guadalupana, Taquería Atexcac, Los Gallos, Taquitos de Puebla, Nemi

City officials will join the Consul of Mexico in Philadelphia in the traditional “Grito de Independencia” ceremony, commemorating the beginning of the Mexican Independence movement that led to the building of the great nation that is Mexico. The festival will conclude with fireworks.
