Every year, the Mexican Cultural Center offers a prestigious scholarship prize to support the academic aspirations of deserving individuals. The winner of this scholarship will be awarded $1,000.00 USD, an honor bestowed during the next annual Mexican Independence Day Festival in Philadelphia.

REQUIEREMENTS

Be Mexican or of Mexican descent
Live in Pennsylvania, Delaware or New Jersey.
A copy of your acceptance letter or your student ID from the school where you are currently enrolled (first year students only).
Create a cover letter detailing your name, address, e-mail address, current phone number, the name of your college/university, and your intended major.
Write an essay (1-2 pages, in English) including your goals, ambitions and answering the following two questions: What aspects of the Mexican culture do you wish were better known by the local community? What actions would you propose to promote Mexican culture?

Essays and any other requirements should be sent to: info@mexicanculturalcenter.org and submitted at least 10 business days before the date in which the Mexican Independence Day Festival takes place.
