The exhibit on Mexican Modernism at the Philadelphia Museum of Art is now open to the public! You can't miss it!

· Sunday, May 1st (11:00 Am - 5:00 PM): Cinco de Mayo Festival in Kennett Square.

This annual festival hosted by Casa Guanajuato includes food, artisan vendors, and performances.

· Monday, May 2nd (11:30 AM - 12:00 PM): Flag Raising Ceremony, City Hall, Philadelphia.

Mayor Kenney and other city officials will join the Consul of Mexico for this civic ceremony.

· THROUGH JUNE 9TH: Border Crossings: Immigration in Contemporary Prints, La Salle University, Philadelphia.

Enjoy La Salle’s current exhibit featuring contemporary prints which explore the subject of border crossings and immigration, with a focus on the U.S.-Mexico border.

· THURSDAY, MAY 5TH (12:00 PM - 10:00 PM): Cinco de Mayo Street Party, “El Rey” restaurant, Philadelphia.

El Rey's second annual street festival featuring delicious Mexican food and mariachi music

· FRIDAY, MAY 6TH:

Closing Ceremony (5:30 PM - 6:00 PM), City Hall, Philadelphia.

Mexican Week will conclude with the lowering of the Mexican flag.

Reception, Mayor’s Reception Room, City Hall, Philadelphia.

A private reception, open to Mexican Cultural Center members and other invitees, featuring a recital of popular Mexican music.

· ALL WEEK LONG: “Mexican Restaurant Week” at various restaurants in the region

Several restaurants will offer special promotions, such as prix fixe menus and 10% discounts. Recipe books, featuring recipes by Chef Carlos Molina from Las Bugambilias, will be distributed at participating restaurants and during Mexican Week events.
